Getting a Head Start

The end of the year is approaching at a rapid rate and this is a great time to be thinking about how it’s gone. Now many people wait till the start of a new year to begin planning but I’m all for being ahead of the game.  I’m not saying that you shouldn’t still be focused on the here and now but hopefully you’re going to have at least a little downtime and it’s a great opportunity to get a head start.  Think how great it would feel to already have some plans in place before the start of the year and to be able to hit the ground running.

The end of the year is a natural time to be thinking about how it’s all been going.  Financially, business achievements and growth are all topics that you think about but there’s a few things you might want to add to your list. Finances are a great measuring stick because they are tangible things. Numbers are easy to read - they either go up or go down.  How about also considering all the things you’ve learned to do this year, think about the best connections you’ve made, what did you like doing the most?  Is there a way to add more of those things into your work life for the coming year.

It’s also worth thinking about you’re current offerings and branding.  What were your big sellers this year? Do you need to retire some products or services?  Do all of your offerings align with your current branding?  Is your branding consistent across all platforms?  Could your website or social media pages do with an update or refresh?  What areas could you expand into?

Taking just a little time to consider some of these items could revitalise both you and your business.  Wouldn’t that be a great start to a New Year?
