What to do now

It may seem like way too early to be getting ready for Christmas but there are only 13 and a bit weeks until the big day. If you're a manufacturer you may already have your Christmas lines ready and be ahead of the game in getting your promo materials out. For those of you that haven't thought about it yet, Christmas is a great time for a launch either of a course or, a physical product.  

If you're getting physical products ready you may also need to be thinking about what your cut off times for orders are so that things can be posted in time for Christmas. Christmas posting is notoriously busy so you need to make allowances for this. Check with your local post office what their lead times are like.

Lots of people find money can be tight around Christmas. Have you thought about offering payment plans for your offerings? What about offering discounts for early orders? This may seem counter intuitive but if you have firm orders and then an increased lead time to get them shipped you could increase your bottom line.   

Maybe you could consider offering gift wrapping and shipping direct to gift recipients. Don't forget to remove any details of pricing if you're doing this.

If you're not just thinking about selling your own offerings but also about gifts you need to buy, think about buying handmade and if you can buy local. Support your local makers and artists.

Whatever you’re planning on offering make sure that you start promoting them early
